The Sheboygan Children's Book Festival, established in 2010, is presented in partnership with community volunteers and local organizations that believe in the transforming power of reading and the literary and visual arts. The SCBF takes place annually in October and is Wisconsin's only free, public children's book festival. The Sheboygan Children's Book Festival is a program of Sheboygan County Reads!, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.
Since 2010, the SCBF has brought thousands of children and teens together with world-class authors and illustrators at schools and at our beautiful, welcoming festival venues: Mead Public Library, John Michael Kohler Arts Center, and Bookworm Gardens.
The mission of the Sheboygan Children's Book Festival is to foster a love of reading and inspire young readers, writers, and artists by offering a wide array of dynamic, free public events featuring outstanding creators of books for children and teens.
